Upcoming Classes and Dives
Open Water Class
It's time for the Pride/Labor Day Open Water Class! Classes and Pool sessions will be on Wednesday nights beginning in mid-July and lasting for 6 weeks; 3 weeks of pool sessions, 3 weeks of classroom sessions. The pool sessions will be the the NE Community Center in NE Portland, the classroom sessions will be at the dive shop in Milwaukie. We will be doing our open water certification in Hoodsport WA at the Yellow House (link above).
The cost is the class is $335 for non-members, $300 for members. Costs for the class cover classroom materials, equipment for pool sessions and for the open water certification. We do ask that students purchase their own dive boots, fins and mask. Yellow House cost is $110 which includes lodging and food.

Stress & Rescue Class
Want to spend a weekend upgrading your skills? Set aside July 18th and 19th for our Stress and Rescue class. We are hoping to hold class here in the Portland area to prevent long travel times and overnight lodging, but a sight hasn't been selected yet. Diving for Life
Wanted to spend a week with a large group of gay and lesbians in Bonaire? September 19th-26th DFL is going to at Captain Don's Habitat, Bonaire. More information can be found on their website - www.divingforlife.org. Space is still available!Events
Gay Pride 2009
A great time was had by all! We had a lot of visitors and hopefully a lot of new people will become new divers with us this summer. It looks like we have many experienced divers to join us too! We were also able to present "Our House" with the money we received as part of the 2008 DFL donation. A check for over $5,700!
